We've been hard at work on designer bridal dress alterations at London Fitting Rooms HQ. See our pics to fulfil all your wedding dress inspiration needs.

Designer Bridal Alterations

The 2015 wedding season is in full swing and our clothing rails are full of beautiful wedding dresses. Each Spring sees bridal gowns of all styles and tastes enter our studio to be given their final touches.

Our designer bridal alterations bring together many parts of our tailoring services. Now, we're sharing a selection of the garments to offer some alternative wedding dress inspiration.

Temperley London Wedding Dress

This week we've been lifting the shoulders on this Temperley London wedding dress to make the front top flat and added a bustle.

A bustle is a button and loop that's one of our most used bridal alterations. We add this invisible detail for many brides to lift or bustle the train of their wedding dress.

It's simple, effective and helps a lot during the big day. We're also loving the cute cap sleeves and floral appliqués.

Elie Saab Wedding Dresses

This gorgeous lace wedding dress from Elie Saab has been a firm favourite since it hit the SS15 catwalk. We, for some, can see why.

Roland Mouret Wedding Dress

Another of our clients is Roland Mouret and this bridal gown proves that wedding dresses don't have to be all white. Silver works great with ivory.

Laure de Sagazan Wedding Dress

Our long-time friends The Mews Bridal sent us this Laure de Sagazan backless wedding dress. We shortened the hem and the sleeves but the detailing is even more beautiful up-close.

Rime Arodaky Wedding Dress

Wedding dress designer, Rime Arodaky is another favourite from The Mews. This bridal gown, in particular, combines two of our favourite spring/summer fashion trends: silk and lace.

First we lifted the waist then when the balance was perfect we shortened the hem whilst keeping the wonderful train. Then we eased the armholes to create the perfect fit for the bride-to-be.

Rime Arodaky Wedding Dresses

We've also been working on this long-sleeved wedding dress by Rime Arodaky. As you can see our tailor, Ausra is shortening the hem.

Meanwhile, another of our tailors, Vania, has been deepening the darts on a fitted wedding dress. Both are beautiful and show the varying styles of our clients.

Vera Wang Wedding Dress

We may be cheating with this oldie but it's a goodie. This Vera Wang wedding dress is one of our most popular pics on Instagram and still an exquisite bridal gown.

The perfect fit makes the bride feel even more special and we love making that possible! Plus this lace and embroidery are a joy to work with.

Alexander McQueen Wedding Dress

This year saw us completing bridal alterations on an Alexander McQueen waterfall gown. This involved adding draped straps to this bustier dress.

You can see the interior structure of an inserted corset with bonings, nude mesh and padded bra. The bride wanted a little change in style so we draped the straps with toiling fabrics called calico for the fitting (work in progress).

Then we will be matching the fabric to the dress. Et voila!

Ian Stuart Wedding Dress

Our short film showcased Alexander McQueen dresses of our own alongside bridal alterations in the form of this exquisite Ian Stuart wedding dress. We took in the centre back through the zip and re-applied the beading.

We also eased and gathered the front neckline slightly to make sure it wouldn’t gape. Then we made sure the beading was as original.
