Next week sees London Collections: Men come to the capital before the menswear AW15 fashion lines are shown in Milan and Paris. Ahead of the events we visited our client, Louis Vuitton, in London and spotted their new capsule collection.

The pre-autumn/winter men's fashion collection has been created as A Tribute to Nemeth. This is a reference to the late fashion designer, Christopher Nemeth. Only a few stores in the world have this line and London is lucky enough to be one of them.

Christopher Nemeth (1959 - 2010) was a British-born artist hailing from Birmingham. He then moved to London in 1979 to study. He graduated from his art degree in 1982 from Camberwell College of Arts.

Unable to afford clothing, he began making his own and became renowned for his deconstructed style. This originated in his art work where he pulled apart clothes and decorated them.

He would upcycle found materials and charity shop garments to create his aesthetic. It would later be adopted and become famous through the Antwerp School of Fashion.

Christopher Nemeth continued to layer his paintings over the clothing he made and created walking works of art. Eventually, he began selling his clothes at the now defunct Kensington Market.

He also went on to become part of the now legendary collective The House of Beauty and Culture

In 1986 he relocated to Tokyo, Japan and continued to sell his clothing through a small shop that's also known for early John Galliano and Judy Blame items. The store, Sector, continues to sell his clothes and the Harajuku location has an interior that was created by Nemeth.

As an icon of creativity it's no wonder that Louis Vuitton Artistic Director, Kim Jones wished to pay tribute to this man. The Paris men's collection will see the brand team up with concept store colette. They will celebrate the line with a pop-up store that will run from 22 June - 18 July.

This Louis Vuitton capsule collection will also be available in all flagship stores from 22 June. Until then here's more photos from the Louis Vuitton London store and watch out for our LC:M coverage.
