Alexander McQueen Dress
This gold metallic dress from Alexander McQueen came in to our studio for a tack fitting. This is reversible so the client can choose to keep the changes or not.
We let out the armholes from the sleeve pleats and reshaped them according the original appearance. We also let out the waist on this brocade dress.
J. Mendel Dress
Our tailor Tatjana is shortening the hem on this J. Mendel metallic evening dress. To complete this tailoring and alterations she first draws a line where the new hem will be.
Then, Tatjana will very carefully cut along the chalk line. See her in action.
We're lifting the shoulders on this Jovani dress. We'll then take in the side seams and centre back through the zip before shortening them hem.
The beadwork makes this a metallic dress with the use of gold. Plus, flamenco is another top SS16 fashion trend.
Bellville et Cie Dress
This metallic silver dress is vintage Bellville et Cie and came to us from One of a Kind London. It uses silver embroidery to brighten the orange pattern.
We will repair holes using silver thread and restore beading to original.
Carolina Herrera Dress
We lifted the waist on this Carolina Herrera metallic dress, took in the side seams and shortened the hem.
Dennis Basso Dress
Our tailor, Vania, is shortening the hem on this gorgeous Dennis Basso metallic gown. We took in the centre back, corset, corset belt and bust darts. We also added bust cups.
This floral dress has a metallic sheen which is complimented by the rich tone of the exposed tulle.
This pleated Gucci metallic dress created plenty of alterations and tailoring work for us. We started by taking in the shoulders.
We also removed the excess from the back and tapered the sleeves. We took in the side seams, shortened the bodice at the waist and took in the centre back through the zip.
Now the dress alterations have been made, it has the perfect fit for our client.
