The new London fashion week for resort wear 2016 hit the capital this month and we're here to give you all the details of the womenswear collections.
Resort Wear 2016 Fashion Week Highlights
This week saw London Collections: Men come to the capital for its seventh season. The success of the men's fashion shows has already led to a New York menswear fashion week, according to The New York Times.
Now, there's another London Fashion Week that has been added to the bill for resort wear 2016. Pre-collections, cruise clothing and resort collections are growing in popularity and have come to London.
The events organised by the British Fashion Council followed on from LCM SS16 on 15 - 17 June. It saw the launch of a brand new showroom, The Hoxton Collective.
Five fashion designers were shown at The Hoxton Hotel whilst other showrooms, presentations and salons took place in the city. Here's what you missed from resort wear 2016.
The Hoxton Collective
London womenswear designer, Alexander Lewis was one of the five who are part of The Hoxton Collective. The three-colour palette saw embroidery create patterns perfect for resort wear 2016.
London-based, Chinese fashion designer, Huishan Zhang, shared this insight into their showroom. Their feminine resort collection SS16 sees youthful takes on lace, ruffles and pleats.
The British-made fashion line from Phoebe English was teased with this clothing rail at The Hoxton Hotel. Following her fashion line at LCM and popularity with rock stars like St. Vincent, we can't wait to see what's next.
Knitwear empresario, Zoë Jordan, showed an even sparser look at her resort wear with this one item on a hanger. Yet, this statement piece says everything as cut-outs are characteristic of the fashion label.
Fashion designer, Marques'Almeida shared this image of a frayed metallic denim top with an open-back. The mixture of casual, undone and futuristic fabric are key in their resort wear line.

On 16 - 17 June a host of other fashion designers were shown in London here are some of the highlights and fashion trends.
During London Collections: Men SS16, Burberry peppered their fashion show with their pre-collection womenswear line. Lace was very much on the agenda for both the sexes.
It was revealed that Roland Mouret would be showing his collection during his last visit to London for a draping class at Selfridges. This resort wear sees looser silhouettes and added pastels for SS16.
Peter Pilotto offered this short video of their presentation at Moda Operandi London. They showcased white garments with patterns in muted tones that are in-keeping with the season.
Alternatively, Roksanda Ilincic used brighter versions of their AW15 palette, keeping the lengthy hemline. Once again, the modern patterns and colours juxtapose the classic forms perfectly.
Fyodor Golan showed more wearable alternatives to their fashion shows, mixing sportswear with snake skin and neon colours. Yet, it continues to be a brave and inventive line.
