Top Fashion News 2015
The year began with the sixth biannual London Collections: Men which became a four day event for the first time. The impressive breadth of the fashion week heralded an exciting time in menswear.
There were 32 catwalk shows, 37 presentations and over 150 designers on display in the capital. Plus plenty of AW15 fashion trends for men.
This February saw Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week SS15 and the exquisite creations therein. The season introduced new takes on old staples and behind-the-scenes action.
Online fans were treated to insights into the big fashion houses' ateliers in preparation for Couture Fashion Week. Watch the making of a Dior dress.
March saw the culmination of the ready-to-wear fashion weeks AW15 in New York, London, Milan and Paris. There was the expected bevy of outerwear plus some edgy alternatives.
New York Fashion Week introduced Peter Copping at the helm of Oscar de la Renta after the sad passing of their namesake. London showcased exciting up-and-coming designers.
Milan Fashion Week surprised with Prada's new direction. Whereas Paris celebrated the 125th anniversary of Lanvin.

In May fashion designer, Roland Mouret, came to London Selfridges to give a masterclass. He spoke about his work, technique and the fashion industry as a whole.
He said, “If I could change something in fashion I would change measurement. I think, we should stop having numbers, we should give a name of a famous body to dresses.
“I think that is the best thing we could do. The Marilyn shape; size Audrey Hepburn. Things that make women happy and not numbers. They don't like numbers.”
Luckily we were there to document and film The Art of Draping.
Then the month ended with London hosting their very first Resort Wear Fashion Week. June certainly showed the growth currently happening in the industry.
The ready-to-wear fashion weeks SS16 began in September in New York. To mark the event the Louis Vuitton Series 3 exhibition started in London.
They showed an exciting new dimension to their process, history and development of the brand.
The finale of the fashion weeks SS16 provided even more outerwear and increasingly dynamic collections. Fashion houses met the global market with seasonal fashion weeks going out of style.
Paris Fashion Week saw Roland Mouret celebrate a decade of their iconic Galaxy Dress. Ten new incarnations make this a line to remember.
Crowds went wild in November when Balmain x HM was finally released worldwide. The limited collection sold out in record time. Even when people couldn't find their size, we were there to do the alterations.
The month also saw the British Fashion Awards and our client Stella McCartney won Brand of the Year. Bravo!
The British Fashion Council then announced London Fashion Week AW16 events. Now we have even more to look forward to in 2016.
